I began my dream of becoming a fireman during my childhood. My best friend was a developmentally challenged individual who was often visited by the local firemen. That is when I saw these men as my heroes.

What started as a childhood dream turned into a career pursuit as I prepared for a long career as a firefighter myself. The interactions between my childhood best friend and his local fire department was thing that ignited my ambition. My passion for service has only grown stronger during his 28-year career in the fire service and 13 year as police officer. I first started out as a volunteer firefighter and EMT and continued to work my way up the ladder. Today, I work as Captain/Paramedic at my local combination fire department and local police department. After serving countless hours of service and sacrifice for my community, I now desire to give back to his fellow brothers and sisters who fight alongside him. So, I started Fire and Fuel Apparel honors all First Responders and the Neck Up Training Academy.

Why Neck Up Training Academy?

Learning how and why to train your brain to achieve extraordinary results in all areas of life became another passion of mine. Often people spend little time with neck up training but this is truly where all of your success begins and ends. I was personally guilty of only training my body outside of my career related trainings. This led me to a deep dark place when life hit me repeatedly hard over a few years.  I found myself one night wanting to take my life and end the pain. The events of that night lead on a journey to learn that pain and change was there to shape me and not break me.
